Aonix announces - PERC®, the first royalty-free J2SE-Class VM

Aonix announced today availability of the first JS2E-class VM with a royalty-free licensing model. Under the new model, PERC is licensed royalty-free by architecture with a single annual fee covering developer seats, maintenance and support, and deployment rights. Customers can enjoy royalty-free development-an option available only from clean-room Java vendors-in embedded software, and to easily and economically standardize on PERC for Java™ platform technology for embedded systems.

Packaging, Pricing, and Availability:
PERC is available from Aonix in three packages, The PERC Starter Kit, The PERC Design Starter Suite, and The PERC Corporate Developer Suite. Packages include single or multiple host and target architectures, all PERC 4.x tools and run-time components for a number of developers, and outstanding customer support. The Suite products include royalty-free deployment rights and the Corporate Developer Suite adds multiple architectures, onsite consulting or training, and a seat on the company's Customer Advisory Board which offers early access to products, and meets regularly to review road-maps and provide valuable feedback on product additions and enhancements. Source code is available as a package option. Deployment packages start at $30,000, and are available immediately.
